Performance verification, not a slogan

A CMM calibration is a performance verification against ISO 10360 or ASME B89.4.1, run alongside geometric adjustment and, where the controller allows it, an update to the volumetric error map.

As-found data is recorded before any adjustment. Results are issued with reference standards, reported uncertainty and a stated decision rule.

Two routes to service

Machines are verified on-site at the shop floor, or removed to a laboratory environment for ship-in work when volume, access or downtime favors it.

Either route is completed under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by laboratories holding the relevant scope of accreditation for the machine's range and reported uncertainty.

Service areas across Indiana and the Greater Midwest

Indianapolis sits at the center of a powertrain and high-temperature alloy manufacturing base running through Columbus, Kokomo, Lafayette, Terre Haute, Fort Wayne and Elkhart.

Coverage extends across the metro and into the surrounding county lines that feed engine, transmission and turbine component suppliers.

Why Indianapolis CMM Calibration and Repair

  • 01

    As-found before adjustment

Every result is recorded prior to any correction, supporting an impact assessment if needed.

  • 02

    Scope-matched laboratories

Each job is checked against a laboratory's published scope before it is booked.

  • 03

    On-site or ship-in

Machines are verified in place or removed to a controlled environment, by volume and access.

  • 04

    Certificates built for audit

Traceability, uncertainty and decision rule are stated, not implied.

Common questions

What does ISO 10360-2 actually test?

Five calibrated test lengths are measured three times each in seven positions across the volume, 105 measurements total, checking length measurement error against a stated maximum permissible error.

Can calibration be done on-site, and how long is the machine down?

On-site verification is routine for bridge and gantry CMMs. Time on site depends on volume and axis count and is confirmed at quote, not estimated in advance.

What happens if the machine fails as-found?

As-found results are recorded before adjustment and reported. Where a value falls outside limit, a reverification allows a re-measure of that length before any repair or compensation update proceeds.
